I keep on pressing on my keyboard  just searching for a beginning point but have severally pressed a backspace key, not very sure where to start from.

Mama Ngina 54 forever remains a memorable room,..yes a room not a house that was beautified by the above angels also resembling awesome flowers. Soo beautiful ladies  both physically and in the heart, lucky are the men, glory to God.We had a chance of living together for one year or rather two semesters which were enough to make my sweetest campus memories. Any time I get to Mama Ngina hostel I always peeped in room 54 hoping to trace our nice carpet, flowers that were ever on the table, not forgetting the shesh made flowers, seeming like I often forget we moved out. Just thinking and guessing this must be the year I laughed most in campus….mmmh yes, I  remember I cried too.

Registration was hectic to some as my collegues of the year can remember. I was brought to campus by a good representation of my extended family I think. ( This how serious my people are with my life). Am used to such and I love it whole heartedly since the days of prize giving which were being attended being by a great representation of my clan and village friends. I can’t recall the world I was living in those days.God bless them.

We managed finally, infact its a long story how the first day in campus unfolded. As the sun was setting I was already allocated a room in Hollywood 13 and my small ntagu pamela kendi Hollywood 14 or maybe vise versa. We didn’t have an idea where Hollywood was and its sounded quite a good deal to such born again girls living in ‘Holywood’. We didn’t bother much for pam introduced me to pastor Mwangi’s (Thanks papa) home where we stayed for the whole week..

I can’t explain much but by the time we were settling in hostels we ended up in Mama ngina 54. We met Nancy as one of our roommates and sly joined us when continuing students reported. This where life started. Right in the stairs I met (Hiding my face) I mean life began. Glory to God the friend I met gave his life to Jesus finally. Amoh never tire preaching the gospel and standing firm in this most holy faith in Jesus Christ that you received since days of this Mamangina 54.

pam

Living with pam, sly and Nancy was real fan and such a blessing. Having fellowshiped together with pam for some time, we had really purposed to stand against the current of campus life. We were determined to seeking God and fearing God no matter the cost…hahaha We fasted atleast once a week, went for morning devotions(sometimes not because the fresh was willing but to get more time in God’s presence), night prayers anytime someone felt to pray, went to lower field uncountable times( I mean every day),went for all fellowships, church prayers, bible study and mini keshas every friday. All this seeking not the approval of man. (Pam lets never forget the doings of the Lord, I  pray that seeking God in understanding will never depart from our ways).I thank God for his grace.

Any person who came our way or in our room had no option apart from hearing the gospel. We had no other language to men apart from preaching to them any time they knocked our door. We had very many visitors at first but the number reduced as our stand got more defined. I still value all our visitors of the time. I would wish to still meet you.

nancy

Nancy was a supper girl that I liked, her prayer life and reading the word of God challenged me. Her art work is excellent. Keep up the spirit to the end. This was a room that was more of a family. As I continued in my adventure in campus I realised it was such a blessing to have roommates going for morning devotions together, with a common taste of music and purpose.

slyvia kinotiOne unique thing with these ladies is that none of us liked walking in men’s hostels unless for discussions(mostly done in our room),bible study or any other relevant reason. Sly was and am sure she is the most organised girl have met. Happy for her she gave her life to Christ (Sly hope you are still holding on unto this good faith)

One of the agenda we did uncosciously was making our room the smartest and sweetest. Fresh flowers never missed in our own made vases. I enjoyed those moments we walked round the compound  looking for rose flowers…I miss to see the papers I wrote for each of us after first sem. It counting to five years now since we vacated Mama Ngina 54…Wish you the very best in life…Still to continue with the fun side of life in Mama Ngina 54.
